My name is John Cole. I am a graphic designer, and I have always loved designing tees. One day while cruising around the internet a thought hit me: Are there any cool, LDS themed shirts out there? A quick search revealed nothing. Sure, there are some shirts aimed at children along with the ubiquitous CTR, I Can't I'm Mormon, and other shirts of their ilk but nothing that was cool and modern. This was the germination of an idea, and so 2060 clothing was born. My goal is simple: to produce high quality tees that are cool and modern while still speaking to an LDS audience. So why the name 2060? Read on and find out.
Long ago an entire people were perched on the brink of extinction. Their enemies gathered to destroy them, but they would not raise arms against them. They had made a pact with God to never take up weapons against another. As their enemies gathered against them, they argued that maybe they should break their pact if only to protect their families. But their children objected, reminding them of the promises they had made. These children offered themselves up instead, for they had not yet taken the vow upon themselves. They were young, not old enough to be considered men, they were striplings. Some 2000 (which grew to 2060 as more joined) went out to fight for their families. In the battles that followed, all were injured but none died. Their faith was their shield. Will you join their ranks?
